Use Your Voice to Make and Receive Calls

To activate the S4, all you have to do is say the hands-free trigger phrase "BlueAnt Speak to Me" and the S4 will be ready for your voice commands.


To make a call, just say "Phone Commands" and the S4 will activate your phone's voice dialing feature. *(If supported by your phone)


When the phone rings you won't need to take your eyes off the road to know who is calling because the S4 will read out the caller's name or number and ask you if you want to take the call. All you have to do is say "Answer" or "Ignore".

Hear Your Messages on the Go

The S4 integrates with Vlingo SafeReader so that you can hear incoming text messages read aloud. Once the Vlingo SafeReader application is installed on your BlackBerry® or AndroidTM 2.x smartphone, your incoming messages will be read out automatically as they come in.

A2DP Streaming

The S4 features integrated A2DP streaming audio functionality, so you can listen to music or podcasts and hear turn-by-turn direction information from a GPS application on your phone.

For Android Phones: Free Android Application

Users with Android devices can further enhance their BlueAnt S4 by installing the BlueAnt S4 Android application. The application provides text message readout directly into the headset and includes help and support for your S4.

It is a little annoying to have to say, "BlueAnt, speak to me" all the time, but I suppose it keeps the device from having false triggers. I use it exclusively for connecting to my phone for calls and texting by voice and it hands off to the phone flawlessly. My wife enjoys speaking to me when I'm in the car now because there is no "in the bottom of a well" effect and her own voice doesn't get fed back to her like the previous hands free device I used. The design is straight forward with only a limited amount of buttons. The sound is superb, Set-up is a snap, and its portability makes it ideal for auto, office and/or home use. I am a owner of several BlueAnt products now and they flat out work. Furthermore, the ease of use, sound and price make this one a definite buy, BlueAnt Products deliver! However the problems are: lack of a good mechanism to keep it charged (cord is short and it can't charge from mirror power); and on my Android phone it can't access the phone functions by voice. I hope it can soon. Doesn't play nicely with my Samsung Epic. This is the fault of my phone, not the S4. I wish it could inject DTMF tones to the voice channel for just a very few contacts (stored on the S4), so it could be useful with "ancient" phones like those of 5 years ago or more.
